Community Involvement
We've been fortunate to be active in our community in a variety of ways. Brian Hoke, Principal of the firm, serves on the Onondaga Historical Association and Transitional Living Services of Onondaga County boards of directors, was appointed to the Syracuse/Onondaga County Youth Board in 2007, is a member of the Future Fund of Central New York, and sits on the Thursday Morning Roundtable Advisory Committee.
Previously, Brian sat on the Board of Directors of Leadership Greater Syracuse, served as Co-Chair of the Youth Leadership Greater Syracuse program from 2002 to 2005, and chaired the 40 Below Civic Engagement Task Force from 2007 to 2009.
We donated our services for the development of MahoneyGives.com, a website for a summer 2008 edition of the ABC TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, in which local firm Mahoney Design & Build assembled a team to improve the lives of one very deserving family.
Bentley & Hoke offers volunteer web services to the annual Clare L. Smith charity golf event of Enable (a Syracuse-based agency providing services to adults and children with disability), to the three AIDS Walks of Syracuse's AIDS Community Resources, and to the 4-H Foundation of New York State. We also volunteer with Syracuse's 40 Below Summit, the Come Home to Syracuse program, Jamesville-DeWitt Little League, The Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, and Manlius Pebble Hill School.
In the past we've volunteered at the Dunbar Association, the Association for Computing Machinery's scholarship program, and other worthy causes.
