Writing, Speaking & Belonging
We write, we teach, we blog - sometimes we sing and dance. From teaching web development classes for adult professionals and high school students to volunteering to presenting at user group meetings, we are engaged in our profession and members of many communities. A select list of recent (and not so recent) musings from the Bentley & Hoke team:
- Slides from a presentation delivered to the designers from the creative team at advertising agency Pinckney Hugo Group
- Notes and source code from a summer 2007 presentation given at the ColdFusion User's Group of Central New York
- A semi-recent posting on Google sitemaps to The Opinionated Marketers, a favorite blog.
- A blog post republished by Robert Kennedy of About.com's Guide to Private Schools, Planning Your School's Web Site was written by Brian Hoke a few years ago.
- Cellular Automata and Art, a paper written by Brian Hoke for an interdisciplinary course in grad school at Dartmouth, reprinted by David Griffeath at the University of Wisconsin math department more than (gasp!) a decade ago.
- LearnByHeart.com, a Macromedia/Adobe certification exam practice site: Dreamweaver and ColdFusion sections were written and technically evaluated in part by Brian Hoke
