Syracuse-based Exhibits and More delivers tradeshow-management services for clients worldwide, ensuring that booths get setup correctly and on time at hundreds of tradeshows, from Beijing to Los Angeles to London. As email and fax communication with clients became unwieldy, EAM turned to Bentley Hoke to produce a web-based Ruby on Rails-based extranet, enabling dialog between EAM and their customers about dates items were needed; booth styles, colors, and options; and delivery particulars. Business rules ensure that clients can pick only appropriate options; a switchboard allows EAM staff to manage and report on all customer activity.
