The Goal
Build a website whose backend database system could be updated from a simple export from the existing inventory database already in use by this nationwide supplier of imprinted and promotional products to camps. Build a site that would stretch the firm's sales and support staff, allowing for the collection of order details online, without costly staff time.
The Solution
We built a PHP/MySQL system in which a single upload - exported from the firm's existing Filemaker Pro inventory database - would update all product info online. A detailed order system collected all needed info (font and logo choices, position of imprint, color options) from users, while careful construction of page code, use of appropriate page titles, and judicious use of sitemaps optimized the site for Google visibility.
