Agency » Community Involvement

We’ve been fortunate to be active in our community in a variety of ways. Brian Hoke, Principal of the firm, is Co-President of the Board of Directors of Transitional Living Services and Enable (a recently-merged Central New York nonprofit agency) and sits on the Thursday Morning Roundtable Advisory Committee.

Previously, Brian served as President of and Co-Chair of the Allocations Committee of the Syracuse/Onondaga County Youth Board. He chaired the board Development Committee for the Onondaga Historical Association, sat on the Board of Directors of Leadership Greater Syracuse and the Future Fund of Central New York Steering Committee, served as Co-Chair of the Youth Leadership Greater Syracuse program from 2002 to 2005, and chaired the 40 Below Civic Engagement Task Force from 2007 to 2009.

We donated our services for the development of MahoneyGives.com, the website for a summer 2008 edition of the ABC TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, in which local firm Mahoney Design & Build assembled a team to improve the lives of one very deserving family.

Bentley Hoke offers volunteer web services to the annual charity golf event at Enable (a Syracuse-based agency providing services to adults and children with disability) and to the three AIDS Walks of Syracuse’s AIDS Community Resources. We’ve also volunteered with Syracuse’s 40 Below, Jamesville-DeWitt Little League, and Manlius Pebble Hill School.

In the past we’ve volunteered at the Dunbar Association, the Association for Computing Machinery’s scholarship program, the 4-H Foundation of New York State, and other worthy causes.
